Advanced Hybrid Composites

Advanced Hybrid Composites

Modern industries are adopting newer technologies in manufacturing sectors to sustain and excel in terms of quality at a minimal cost. Hybrid composite materials have currently received great attention from researchers due to their excellent potential when compared to non-hybrid single fiber-reinforced composites.

Hybrid composites are materials that are fabricated by combining two or more different types of fibers within a common matrix. They are used in many engineering applications for their versatile properties like lightweight, strength-to-weight ratio, low cost, ease of structure development, and high strength.

With regard to our approach and experience, the effect of environmental aging will be taken into account for the numerical modeling of hybrid composite materials. Cost-effective hybrid composites with the required properties could be obtained through the appropriate material selection.
